Chairperson McGinn opened the hearing on HB 2002. Jill Wolters provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 2)
Scott Frank spoke in support of the bill as the bill would exempt the Legislative Division of Post Audit from the Department of Administration's Monumental Building Surcharge. Post Audit is the only legislative agency required to pay this Surcharge because they are not located in the Statehouse. (Attachment 3)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson McGinn closed the hearing on HB 2002.
Chairperson McGinn moved, Senator Billinger seconded, introduction of a bill enacting the Kansas cyber-security act relating to digital information. Motion carried.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 11:34. The next meeting will be February 15, 2017.
