Kristafer Ailslieger, Deputy Solicitor General, testified in support of HB2271 on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General. Ailslieger stated the bill adds clarifying language to the K.S.A. 21--6622(f) to ensure that the law's original intent and meaning is preserved and that the absurd result noted above does not occur. (Attachment 2)
Written only testimony in support of HB2271 was submitted by Kim Parker on behalf of the Kansas County and District Attorneys Association. (Attachment 3)
