Chairman Claeys opened hearing on HB2036.
Chris Waggoner, Assistant Revisor explained the bill (Attachment 1).
Jason Watkins, representing Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce offered proponent testimony. Mr. Watkins spoke on the loss of aviation jobs. Aviation firms are growing employment in states with better incentives. These states are reaping the economic benefits, Kansas should do the same. (Attachment 2)
Questions asked by Representatives Kessinger, Delperdang, Helgerson, Parker and Koesten were answered by Mr. Watkins and Andy Schlapp, Executive Director of Government Relations, Wichita State University.
