Minutes for SB115 - Committee on Ways and Means

Short Title

State finances; requiring the KPERS board to liquidate the pooled money investment portfolio investment pursuant to K.S.A. 2016 Supp. 75-2263; transferring money to the state general fund and to the pooled money investment portfolio; authorizing the pooled money investment board to invest idle funds available for long term investment.

Chairperson McGinn called for final action on SB 115.

Chairperson McGinn distributed a proposed balloon amendment and discussed the recommended changes.  (Attachment 9)

Chairperson McGinn moved, Senator Kerschen seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment.  Motion carried.

Senator Billinger moved, Senator Doll seconded, to recommend SB 115, as amended, favorably for passage.  Motion carried.

Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 11:50 am.  The next Committee meeting will be on February 7, 2017.
