Chair Hoffman opened the hearing on HB2136 at 4:38pm.
Kyle Hamilton, Assistant Revisor, Office of The Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of HB2136 and the statutes that it affects. (Attachment 7) There is a Fiscal Note for HB2136.
Chad Bontrager, Deputy Secretary, Kansas Department of Agriculture, appeared before the Committee in support of HB2136. This bill update the fuel service company requirements into line with the scale service companies, which was modified by the legislature in 2016. It restored the fees that sunset in 2010 and introduces graduated annual fees and licensing requirements. (Attachment 8)
Mr. Bontrager answered questions from the Committee.
