Mike Heim, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided a brief description of HB2013, stating this bill amends a statute dealing with names on ballots.
Mr. Heim and Martha Dorsey, Principal Research Analyst, answered questions from the Committee.
Representative Esau, Chair, introduced and welcomed Rick Piepho, County Clerk and Election Officer, Harvey County, Kansas, who provided testimony in favor of HB2013 (Attachment 1).

Martha Dorsey, Principal Research Analyst, provided several email responses she received to questions regarding write-in votes from County Clerk Offices in Shawnee, Reno, and Johnson Counties (Attachment 2).
