Natalie Scott gave an overview of HB2093.
Scott Schultz, Executive Director, on behalf of the Kansas Sentencing Commission testified in support of HB2093 stating the Commission recommends this bill because it is primarily focused on two ideas: offender culpability and recognizing the value of crime-free periods. (Attachment 11)

Written only testimony in support of HB2093 was submitted by Jennifer Roth on behalf of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. (Attachment 12)
Kim Parker on behalf of the Kansas County & District Attorneys Association in opposition of HB2093, proposed that if this new section is added that it at least require the passage of 7years or more before decay. (Attachment 13)
