Robin Jennison testified in support of the bill. He believes that,because of the current fiscal climate of the state, the Department of Wildlife, Parks,and Tourism should run the cabin program more like a fee funded business. This will maximize revenues and allow the Department to move more quickly to set fees without having to wait until the regulatory commission meets.
Committee members had a few questions for Secretary Jennison. During this time he did confirm that the cabin program was making money.
There being no further business, Chairperson Kerschen closed the hearing on SB25 and adjourned the meeting at 8:55 AM.
