Requiring the Kansas department of wildlife and parks to offer discounted resident senior combination hunting and fishing passes to residents of this state who are 65 years of age or older and removing the expiration date for Kansas kids lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses.

Senator Shane offered an amendment that would eliminate 2 different ages and set the age for obtaining the license for the lifetime hunting and fishing licenses for children at 15 or less and set the fee to $400. (Attachment 1)
Senator Shane moved his amendment, Senator Blew seconded.
Senator Ryckman made a substitute motion to change the $400 fee in the Shane amendment to $500. Senator Ware seconded. Motion carried.
Senator Francisco offered a conceptual amendment to change the age to 7. Seconded by Senator Ware.
Senator Francisco withdrew her motion and Senator Ware withdrew her second.
Senator Francisco offered a conceptual amendment to change the age to 8. Seconded by Senator Ware. Motion failed
Chairman Peck offered a conceptual amendment changing the date on line 13 from July 1,2020 to January 1, 2025. Seconded by Senator Francisco. Motion carried
Senator Blew made a motion to pass favorably HB2028 as amended, seconded by Senator Shane. Motion carried.
Senator Francisco and Senator Ware requested that they be recorded as a no vote.
