Chairperson Waymaster opened the hearing on HB2402.
Chris Waggoner, Assistant Revisor, Office of Revisor of Statutes, provided a briefing on HB2402. (Attachment 1)
Chris Waggoner stood for questions from the committee.
Representative Ken Rahjes, 110th District, provided a background for the development of HB2402 and described the bill as a structure for the legislature's input, as the appropriators, on the direction of higher education in the future and work with the Kansas research institutions, region universities, community colleges, and technical colleges. (Attachment 2)
