Chairwoman Estes opened the discussion and action on SB87.
Chairwoman Estes requested an amendment to SB87 and recognized Jason Long to explain the amendment. (Attachment 1).
Chairwoman Estes moved, seconded by Representative Pishney to adopt the amendment as presented. Motion carried.
Representative Stogsdill requested his "nay" vote be recorded.
Representative Hill moved, seconded by Representative Goetz to amend SB87 by striking line (i) in section (B) as presented. Motion carried.
Chairwoman Estes recognized Elaina Rudder, Senior Research Analyst, Kansas Legislative Research Department, who confirmed Representative Winn's question regarding the amount of tax credits reported for tax year 2024 was 5.5 million.
Representative Hill moved, seconded by Representative Huebert to pass SB87 as amended. Motion carried.
