Steve Greene, on behalf of Opportunity Solutions Project, provided testimony in support of the bill. (Attachment 1) 1 He stated guaranteed income programs are gaining in popularity across the country. Studies show guaranteed income is ineffective, reduces work, and traps people in government dependency. Another study shows that guaranteed income did not improve recipients’ health outcomes, food security, or economic well being.
