The Chairman opened the hearing on SB13.

Mike Heim, Office of the Revisor of Statutes gave a briefing(Attachment3) of SB13. The bill dealt with filings to the State's office.

Clay Barker, General Council, testified(Attachment4) that the bill was about filings in the Secretary of State's office. The bill would provide different organizations the ability to stop filing constitution bylaws and annual reports. The state Board of Regents would not have to continue filing reciprocal agreements with other educational institutions from other states. Secretary of Revenue would no longer be required to file annual reports related to tax abatement's for motor carriers and the director of the Kansas Water office would not be required to file copies of easements that they entered into. There are a number of savings with the changes and amending 12 statutes and 11 appeals statutes.

The Chairman closed the hearing on SB13.

Representative L. Ruiz moved, Representative Schmoe seconded to approve the minutes for February 6, 11, 13, 14, 17, 25, 26, and March 4 as presented. Motion carried.

Chairman Kessler adjourned the meeting at 9:27 am.
