Natalie Scott, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions.(Attachment 1)
Keith Bradshaw, Executive Director, Contracts & Finance, Kansas Department of Corrections, provided testimony in support of this bill. He states they began working with a consultant to conduct a fundraising campaign feasibility study. The results indicate there is significant interest within the business community due to the anticipated economic and social benefits that would be generated by this project. The passage of this bill would increase the state match cap to 50%. (Attachment 2)
