Jason Thompson, Assistant Revisor of Office of Statutes reviewed the proposed amendment striking certain lines. (Attachment 1)
Representative Lewis moved and Representative Schlingensiepen, to amend HB2325 to : (1) reduce the maximum sentence for a juvenile who uses or possesses a gun during the commission of certain crimes; (2) requires a moderate or high-risk assessment in order to sentence a juvenile to a juvenile correction facility; and (3) makes other clarifying changes. Motion to amend passed.
Representative Lewis expressed support for adding the contents of HB2325, into contents of HB2329.
