Minutes for SB92 - Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications

Extending the time in which the state corporation commission shall make a final order on a transmission line siting application.

Chairman Delperdang asked committee if there were any objections on working SB92 they previously heard. There were no objections.

Chair called for final action on SB92.

Nick Myers, Revisor of Statutes, provided a review of the bill, followed by questions from the committee members.

Chair asked committee for discussion or amendments.

Representative Bergquist had a balloon amendment (Attachment6) and gave a summary to the committee.

Chairman asked committee for further discussion on the amendment.

Representative Bergquist made a motion to adopt the proposed amendment, seconded by Representative Hoheisel. Motion carried.

Request for recorded vote in opposition on the amendment: Carmichael and Schlingensiepen.

Representative Neighbor made a motion to favorably pass out SB92 as amended, seconded by Representative Hoheisel. Motion carried.

The next committee meeting will be Tuesday March 4.

Chairman Delperdang adjourned the meeting at 9:15am.
