Jason Thompson, Revisor of Statutes Office gave the bill brief. (Attachment 1)
Proponent Ronald Nelson, Kansas Judicial Council, testified that the only change to this statute is to make it easier to read and understand, and to include guardianship proceedings. (Attachment 2)
Proponent Michelle McCormick, Executive Director of Kansas Coalition against Sexual and Domestic Violence, testified that the Coalition worked with the Judicial Council to help clarify bill language concerning domestic and sexual violence in child custody cases and protection. (Attachment 3)
