Chair Humphries opened the meeting with discussion and final action on HCR5008.
Jason Thompson, Office of Revisor of Statutes, gave an overview of the resolution.
Representative Lewis proposed an amendment that will simplify the language of the resolution. The amendment allows the elected legislators to have the ability to revise or revoke rules or regulations. (Attachment 1)
Discussion ensued.
Representative Lewis moved, Representative Barth seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion carried.
Representative Carmichael requested his Yay vote be recorded.
Discussion of the bill ensued.
Representative Williams moved, Representative Lewis seconded, to recommend HCR5008 as amended favorably for passage. The motion carried. Division was called. 9 Yay and 7 Nay votes were recorded.
Representatives Carmichael and Martinez requested their Nay votes be recorded.
