Calvin Reed gave proponent testimony to HB2263 designating the interchange of Wakarusa Drive, 27th Street and US-40/K-10 Highway (also known as the South Lawrence Trafficway) as the Kris Norton Memorial interchange. Mr. Reed introduced family members of Kris Norton who were in attendance at the hearing remembering his life and legacy. (Attachment 6)
Jordan Herbert provided proponent testimony of the bill having worked closely with Kris Norton on the South Lawrence Trafficway (SLT) project honoring his work at the Kansas Department of Transportation and his contribution to over 270 projects across the state.(Attachment 7)
Dan Scherschligt gave to the committee supporting testimony to HB2263 remembering Kris Norton as the design leader in the South Lawrence Trafficway construction of Douglas County. (Attachment 8)
