Chairwoman Warren opened the hearing on SB241.
Natalie Scott, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 7)
Eric Stafford, Vice President of Government Affairs, Kansas Chamber, provided testimony in support of this bill. The guidelines in SB241 are based on good business principles that address fairness for the owner, seller and employees. If passed, the bill will be viewed favorable by businesses because it protects work force stability and client relationships. It will also protect Kansas employees and owners from overly broad, restrictive covenants. (Attachment 8)
