Chairman Humphries called for discussion and final action on HB2062.
Jason Thompson, Office of Revisor of Statutes, provided a review of the bill.
Representative Osman proposed an amendment that would clarify the law to make sure direct medical expenses are included. (Attachment 24)
Discussion ensued.
Representative Osman moved, Representative Curtis seconded, to adopt the amendment. Upon a division vote, the Chair declared that the motion failed.
Representatives Carmichael, Osman, Curtis, Vaughn, and Martinez requested their yes votes be recorded.
Representative Williams moved, Representative Ward seconded, to recommend HB2062 favorably for passage. The motion carried. Representatives Carmichael, Vaughn, Curtis, and Martinez requested their no votes be recorded.
Chairman Humphries adjourned the meeting at 5:27 PM.
