Chairperson Penn opened the hearing on HB2238.
Natalie Scott, Assistant Revisor of Statutes presented a briefing on the bill (Attachment 3)then stood for questions.
Shirley Morrow, Director of Legislative Research, presented oral testimony on HB2238. She stated the the Legislative Research Department (LRD) and the Legislative Administrative Services (LAS) use different KLISS systems and that it would be much easier and modernized if LAS did the minutes for all committees all year long. She stood for questions.
Tom Day, Director of Legislative Administrative Services, in answering questions, explained that all committee assistants receive the exact same training and maintain the standards so that minutes will look the same during the legislative session.
Chairperson Penn closed the hearing.
