Carly Choi, Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of HB2284 (Attachment 1).
Representative Will Carpenter, 75th District, provided testimony in support of HB2284 (Attachment 2). Having been involved in the procurement process for the latest MCO contracts, I and many of the the KanCare Oversight Committee see the need for oversight of the process of selecting Manage Care Organizations (MCO). These contracts are in total around $4 billion.
Representative Carpenter responded to questions from the committee.
