Chairwoman Warren opened hearing on SB127.

Natalie Scott, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 1)

Aaron Breitenbach, Deputy District Attorney on behalf of Marc Bennett, District Attorney, Eighteenth Judicial District and the Kansas County and District Attorneys Association provided testimony in support of the bill. He stated this bill is one small thing we can do to bring our laws into conformity with the realities of our current medical profession while ensuring reliable statements are available in court. (Attachment 2)

The conferee stood for questions and further discussion.
