The chair opened the hearing on HB2222.

Chris Waggoner, Assistant Revisor, provided the committee with a briefing on the bill.(Attachment 7)                                        

Lieutenant Matthew Payne, Kansas Highway Patrol, gave supporting testimony to the importance in safety and efficacy of the interlock ignition program of  HB2222. This bill would provide for safety regulations in stopping car starts and preventing DUI accidents.(Attachment 8)

Ed Klumpp, proponent written only testimony.(Attachment 9)

Kevin Barone presented to the committee written only neutral  testimony.  (Attachment 10)

There were no opponents to the bill.
