Establishing the Butler county fair board as consisting of 15 members, providing for the appointment of members to such board and allowing up to five members of such board to be appointed from the county at large.

The Chair opened the hearing on HB2145.
Revisor Jason Long briefed the committee on the bill (Attachment 1). He explained that the bill would add a new subsection (b) to set the Butler County Fair Board at 15 members.
William Johnson, Butler County Administrator, (Attachment 2) testified as a proponent to the bill. He explained that current statute requires 29 members with an additional 6 at large positions making it difficult to fill board positions.
Chairman Bergquist closed the hearing on HB2145.
