Chris Waggoner, Office of Revisor Statutes, provided the committee with a briefing of the bill. (Attachment 1)
Braden Edwards, Carry-on Trailer, American Trailer World, presented supporting testimony of HB2030 which would make provisions to the vehicle dealers and manufacturers licensing for motorized vehicles, not hauled or drawn trailers that are not motorized. He requested that the legislation exempt any and all trailers not motorized and only hauled or drawn to be exempted from the act itself.(Attachment 2)
Charles Bradley, attorney for KDOR provided neutral testimony to the bill, HB2030, recommending a slight change to the wording of the bill to clarify that the exemption applies exclusively to dealers that sell only trailers. (Attachment 3)
