Representative Carpenter moved, Representative Goetz seconded, to approve the amendment. Motion carried. (Attachment 1)

Representative Carpenter moved, Representative Moser seconded, to favorably pass out HB2543, as amended. Motion carried. 

Chairperson Waymaster informed the Committee those were the last bills to be passed out of Committee.

The Committee acknowledged a couple of birthdays.

Chairperson Waymaster informed the Committee that this meeting could be the last one for the session, or a final meeting may be called at the Rail. He commended the work completed by the Appropriations Committee members. Chairperson Waymaster expressed sentiment to the Office of Revisor of Statutes staff and the Kansas Legislative Research Department staff for their job in completing everything needed for the Committee.

The Committee recognized Representative Will Carpenter for serving 14 years and thanked Chairperson Waymaster for his leadership.
