Chairperson Rahjes opened the hearing on SB 407 and asked Revisor Hamilton to give an overview of the bill. (Attachment 10)

Analyst O'Hara explained the fiscal note.

Kate Gleeson, Deputy Secretary of Environment, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, was called upon to give Oral Proponent testimony on SB 407. (Attachment 11), (Attachment 12), (Attachment 13), (Attachment 14).  Ms. Gleeson stood for questions.

There was no other testimony provided.

Chairperson Rahjes closed the hearing on SB 407.

Chairperson Rahjes announced there would be no meeting on Thursday.  The Committee will meet next Monday to work the bills heard today.

The meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
