Natalie Scott, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions.(Attachment 27)

Scott Schultz, Executive Director, Kansas Sentencing Commission along with Honorable Benjamin Sexton, Chair, Kansas Sentencing Commission, provided support of the bill.  They concluded that this bill is a straightforward but an essential improvement to Kansas sentencing administration.  This bill will strengthen sentencing accuracy, improve statewide consistency, and ensure the continued reliability of Kansas criminal justice data. (Attachment 28)

Conferees stood for questions and further discussion.
