Representative Will Carpenter spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 5) Only 80 of 177 public land and 20 of 28 parks have land that generates about $1.5 million in agriculture revenues.

Martin de Boer, Chief of Staff, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks presented testimony in support of the bill. (Attachment 6)  The statutory restriction in K.S.A. 32-809 hinders the department's ability to maintain is properties.  The Department requests the ability to manage its properties without unnecessary restrictions.
