Chairperson Billinger opened the hearing on HB 2555. David Wiese, Office of the Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of the bill.  (Attachment 1)

Secretary Laura Howard, Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, spoke as a proponent of the bill and indicated she is also speaking on behalf of Secretary Janet Stanek, Kansas Department for Health and Environment. This bill provides a level of visibility into the Rural Health Transformation Program and strengthens transparency and information sharing. The Secretary expressed support for the amendments added by the House of Representatives and responded to questions from Committee members.  (Attachment 2)
