Chairman Peck opened the hearing on HB2507.

Tamera Lawrence, Senior Assistant Revisor, presented an overview of the bill. (Attachment 1)

Ms. Lawrence stood for questions.

Representative Will Carpenter spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 2)

Martin deBoer, Chief of Staff, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 3)  KDWP continues to grapple with the issue of waterfowl hunting pressure on its public lands, and this bill is a step that will help. Most importantly, it delineates between residents and nonresidents when it comes to the amount the Secretary may charge for a stamp.

Mr. deBoer stood for questions.
