Chairperson Gossage opened the hearing on HB2557. Jenna Moyer, Assistant Revisor, Kansas Office of Revisor of Statutes, briefed the committee on the bill. (Attachment1) Ms. Moyer stood for questions from the committee.

Chairperson Gossage introduced Rebecca Gerhardt who spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment2). She testified the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC) provides legal and binding agreements between states to address common problems and promote a common agenda for placement of children. (Attachment3) Ms. Gerhardt stood for questions from the committee.
