Chairperson Smith opened the hearing for HB2234.

Adam Siebers gave an overview for HB2234 that would provide a sales tax exemption for all sales of tangible personal property or services purchased by Junction City Main Street, Inc. (Attachment 16)

Mr. Siebers stood for questions from Committee members.

Kathleen Smith provided information regarding the fiscal note for HB2234 noting the bill is a carryover from last year.  The Department estimated at that time the bill would decrease state revenues by approximately $6,500 in FY2026.  Of this amount, State General Fund revenues are estimated to decrease by $5,300 per fiscal year, and the State Highway Fund revenues are estimated to decrease by $1,200 per fiscal year.
