Chairperson Waymaster informed the committee that he wanted to work HB2555 under the possible action on bills previously heard agenda item and provided an overview of the coordinating efforts that have evolved regarding oversight reporting on rural health transformation funds.

Chairperson Waymaster moved, Vice Chairperson Williams seconded, to open and work HB 2555. 

Vice Chairperson Williams moved, Chairperson Waymaster seconded, the bill amendment for transparency of $221 million in FY 2027. Motion carried. (Attachment 15)

The Committee discussed the competitive nature of the Rural Health Transformation Program grant awards. Kansas's application was favorable the first year.

Chairperson Waymaster moved, Representative Wasinger seconded, to pass out HB 2555 favorably for passage, as amended. Motion carried.
