Bruce Waugh, Board Member, Mount Mitchell Prairie Guards, spoke to the bill (Attachment 6). Mr. Waugh says that this enables the park's original 30 acres to be united with te 134 acres that have been added to the park since the 2006 Legislation.

Jackie Augustine, Executive Director,  Audubon of Kansas (AOK), spoke to the bill (Attachment 7). Ms. Augustine said that AOK is in agreement with the Mount Mitchell Prairie Guards'

Patrick Zollner, Executive Director, Kansas Historical Society, spoke to the bills (Attachment 8). The Kansas Historical Society would like a protective conservation easement on the property.
