The hearing on SB 472 was opened by Chairperson Dietrich. Revisor Eileen Ma gave an overview of the bill.(Attachment 6)

Eric Turek of the Kansas Department of Insurance testified in favor of the bill. (Attachment 7) He explained that the bill authorizes the Securities Administrator to set fee amounts and publish them in the Kansas Register. It also eliminates the agency requirement to transfer 10% of its revenue to the State General Fund (SGF) since it does not rely on the Department of Administration for administrative services i.e. payroll, legal services that the transfer covers.

There were no other testimonies. Chairperson Dietrich closed the hearing on SB 472.
