Chairperson Dietrich opened the hearing on SB 422. Revisor Eileen Ma gave an overview of the bill. (Attachment 1)

Eric Turek of the Kansas Department of Insurance spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 2) He explained that the bill creates a consistent, uniform response time for agents and adjusters to answer inquiries from the Commissioner. Steve Karrer from the Department of Insurance via WebEx addressed the revokation of a non-resident agent's license. He explained that the non-resident's Kansas license is dependent on an existing home state license. They stood for questions.

There was no other testimony pertaining to the bill. Chairperson Dietrich closed the hearing on SB422.
