Chris Waggoner provided to the committee an overview of the bill.
Tom Hanavan gave virtual proponent testimony to the committee stating that adding another digit to motorcycle license plates would allow the motorcycle owner to be a bit more creative in the process of making it unique. The bill could be a benefit to the State of Kansas by adding the numbering sequences assuming that they would add the sixth digit to standard license plates. (Attachment 2)
Zach Denney brought neutral testimony before the committee for HB2617 in that many of the motorcycle license plates would need to be modified to accommodate the six character requirement.(Attachment 3)
