Josh McGinn, Assistant Secretary, Kansas Department of Agriculture, (KDA) spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 2) SB425 would increase the maximum registration fee to $400 for wholesalers and $50 for retailers. KDA commits to initially raising the fee in regulation to $330 for wholesalers and $40 for retailers to cover the current deficit.
Mr. McGinn stood for questions.
