Scott M. Schultz, Executive Director, Kansas Sentencing Commission, supported the bill.  

Mr. Schultz stood for questions and discussion followed.  

The Chair asked if there was any discussion on the bill. seeing none, all those in favor "aye"? All those opposed same. The bill passes. 

Representative Schlingensiepen moved, Representative Resman seconded, to recommend SB 2653 favorably for passage. Motion carried.
