The Chair opened the hearing on HB2585.

Chris Waggoner provided the committee with an overview of the bill.(Attachment 3)

Jeffrey Wardlaw provided proponent testimony to the committee by testifying of the  history of  Delta Waterfowl as the largest organization in North America dedicated to ducks and duck hunters.Mr. Wardlaw stated that the bill  would provide a distinctive license plate in the state of Kansas that would help raise the profile of the organization and their work nationwide.(Attachment 4)

Jordan Ford gave virtual proponent testimony to the committee of the Delta Waterfowl chapter in Kansas that consists of 4 chapters and roughly 500 members.  Passage of the bill would provide Delta Waterfowl the ability to showcase the organization and help raise funds for investing in more resources in Kansas.     (Attachment 5)
