Senator Claeys moved, Senator Erickson seconded, to eliminate the items in Sub. for HB 2007 relating to the ARPA interest with the exception of the funding for the Dole (Docking) State Office Building. The motion carried.

Senator Claeys moved, Senator Erickson seconded, to remove all Economic Development Initiatives Fund (EDIF) items from Sub. for HB 2007 for FY 2026 in the amount of $44,668,280. The motion carried. Senator Pettey asked to be recorded as voting no. Staff distributed a list of EDIF items.  (Attachment 1)

Senator Claeys moved, Senator Erickson seconded, to remove all items not requested by the Kansas Board of Regents from the Higher Education budget. The motion carried. Senators Pettey and Holscher asked to be recorded as voting no.

Staff distributed the 2025 Session House Shorthand that reflects House Committee adjustments to the budget.  (Attachment 2)
