Chairperson Dietrich opened the hearing on HB2048. Revisor Eileen Ma reviewed the bill and stood for questions.(Attachment 6)

Eric Turek of the Department of Insurance spoke in favor of the bill and mentioned it's companion bill was SB27.(Attachment 7) He stated that the bill would eliminate certain reporting requirements and simplify the definition of "person" which also would require fewer changes to statutes. He stood for questions from the Committee.

There was no other testimony. 

Chairperson Dietrich closed the hearing on HB2048.
