About the Legislature

The Kansas Legislature is a bicameral body composed of the 40-member Kansas Senate and the 125-member Kansas House of Representatives. Senators serve four-year terms and Representatives serve two-year terms. The Legislature meets annually in Topeka at the Kansas State Capitol.
