Chairwoman Warren opened HB2172. Jason Thompson provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 7)
Mark Knackendoffel testified in support of HB2172. He stated the purpose of trust decanting is to provide greater flexibility to a trustee by allowing the trustee to modify a trust by distributing it's assets to another trust. Thirteen states have adopted the uniform trust. (Attachment 8)
