Chairperson Bowers opened final action on HB2509. Mike Heim, staff revisor, reviewed the bill indicating this is one of the bills dealing with vacating certain territory, and the other bill is HB2583-Clarify the vacation of territory from city boundaries or release of easements. Chairperson Bowers asked Mr. Heim to review HB2583 with the intent of combining the two bills with the same topic. Mr. Heim distributed and explained a balloon amendment. (Attachment 1)
Senator Hardy moved, Senator Braun seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Doll moved, Senator Hardy seconded, to recommend HB2509 as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
