Chair Williams opened the meeting at 3:35 pm.
Rep. Landwehr provided an agenda update on the subcommittee for mental health.
Chair Williams opened up a the hearing for SB 382.
Chair Williams called Jason Long, Office of Revisor Statutes to give a brief overview of SB 382
Jason stated briefed the committee on SB 382. The main amendment is to remove USD 207. Jason stated the main differences between HB 2526 and SB 382.
Jason stood for questions.
None received.
Chair Williams called Mark Tallman to provide oral proponent testimony.
Mark Tallman, Kansas Association of School Boards provided the committee his proponent testimony on SB 382. Change allows it to go back to school participating since 2015. Change for virtual schools they take a neutral stance.(Attachment 1)
Chair opened up for questions.
