Staff explained the bill.
Chairman Proehl recognized David Harper who testified for Kent Selk.(Attachment 5) According to Mr. Harper currently the Division of Vehicles notifies Kansas residents by mail that their drivers license is expiring in 30 days. They are proposing to allow license holders to receive their renewal notice through electronic means.
There were no opponents and no neutrals listed. The Chairman asked if anyone else desired to speak on this bill. No one stepped forward so the Chairman closed the hearing on SB342.
The Chairman asked if there was a motion to approve the Minutes of the meetings on February 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20, 2020. Representative Helgerson moved to adopt the Minutes, seconded by Representative Ballard. Motion carried.

Chairman Proehl announced the next meeting would be on March 11th and the Committee will hear: SB288, SB305 and SB315.
